Last year, Bon Appétit and the Mushroom Council® set out to find the best blended burgers being created by home cooks across the country and launched the first ever Blended Burger Project: Home Edition. Inspired by the creative burgers you came up with, we’re making it a tradition and coming back for year two.
What’s new? This year, three finalists with stellar entries will be chosen to video chat with Bon Appétit Senior Food Editor Chris Morocco as he makes and tastes their burger recipes himself. Then, one winner will be selected from the finalists to receive $10,000 for their blended burger creation.
Want in on the action? Here’s how it works:
Create an original blended burger recipe at home using at least 25% chopped, fresh, store-bought mushrooms in the patty.
Submit your official entry at bonappetit.com/blendedburgercontest by June 30.
Take a picture of your blended burger and share it on your public Instagram account with the hashtag #BlendedBurgerContest. Tell us what you love about it. While not required to enter the contest, those who post may receive something special in the mail.
